Their web site was originally developed in-house and the management executives wanted to update and redesign their web site. The Beverly Hills Hotel was also interested in utilizing the Internet to its full potential and maximizing its web presence globally. Their present web site lacked the functionality and image for leveraging the hotel's full potential and they recognized the web as a powerful tool for brand recognition and increasing hotel guest occupancy. Their online tools, such as their shopping cart, on their original web site were considerably ineffective. The Beverly Hills Hotel wanted a web site that would generate revenue while adequately reflecting their upscale image.
